Our Shipping Promise: From Our Shelves to Your Door

At Books Or Bytes LLC, we bridge the gap between digital convenience (the “bytes”) and the tangible joy of a book. We are an in-stock retailer, not a dropshipper.

Our fulfillment process is managed entirely in-house. Every order is personally inspected, packaged, and shipped by our team directly from our facility in Irvine, California.

Order Processing & Daily Cut-Off

We work hard to get your books out to you efficiently.

  • Daily Cut-Off: Our official cut-off time for new orders is 6:00 PM Pacific Time (PT), Monday to Friday.

  • Processing Time: Orders placed before the cut-off time will begin processing. Please allow our team 2-4 business days (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM PT) to carefully pull, inspect, and package your order for shipment.

Delivery Times & Our Carrier

To keep shipping reliable and affordable, our primary carrier partner is the United States Postal Service (USPS).

  • Estimated Shipping Time: Once your order leaves our facility, you can expect an estimated delivery time of 5-7 business days (Monday – Friday).

  • Total Estimated Delivery: Your order will typically arrive within 7-11 business days (Processing + Shipping).

Please note: This is an estimate. We are not responsible for delays caused by USPS (e.g., severe weather, holiday backlogs) as they are outside of our control.

Our Simple Shipping Rates (No Hidden Fees)

We believe in transparent pricing. The rate you see is the rate you pay. We do not charge extra “handling” or “processing” fees.

  • Orders $199.00 and up: FREE Standard Shipping

  • Orders under $199.00: $7.99 Flat Rate Shipping Fee

Shipping Destinations (Yes, We Ship to P.O. Boxes!)

We ship to all 50 states within the United States.

  • P.O. Boxes & Military Mail: Yes! Because we proudly use USPS, we are fully equipped and happy to ship to P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO/DPO military addresses.

Order Tracking

Once your package is on its way, you will receive an automated shipping confirmation email containing your USPS tracking number.

7. Sales Tax Policy

As a compliant, registered US business (Books Or Bytes LLC), we are legally obligated to collect and remit sales tax.

Applicable sales tax is not included in the product price. It will be calculated automatically by our system and displayed clearly as a separate line item at checkout, based on your “ship-to” address and in accordance with state and local laws.

8. Address Changes & Accuracy

The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. If you notice a mistake, please email us immediately at contact@booksorbytesllc.com. We are not responsible for orders lost or returned due to an incorrect address.

9. Order Issues (Damaged, Lost, or Delayed)

  • Damaged or Delayed: If your book arrives damaged or is significantly delayed in transit, please contact us right away.

  • Lost or Stolen: We are responsible for your package until the USPS tracking marks it as “Delivered.” We are not responsible for packages that are stolen from your property after delivery.

  • Out of Stock: In the rare case of an inventory error, we will email you immediately to offer a full refund or ask if you’d like to wait.
