A: Yes. We are Books Or Bytes LLC, a legally registered independent bookseller. We are not a dropshipper. Our physical operation, including our curated inventory, is based in Irvine, California.

Q: Do you have a physical store I can visit?

A: No. We are an online-only retailer. Our Irvine address (66 Keepsake, Irvine, Ca, 92618, United States) is our registered business and fulfillment facility, not a public retail storefront.

2. Shipping & Fulfillment

Q: Where do your books ship from?

A: All orders ship directly from our own inventory, located at our facility in Irvine, California.

Q: When will my order arrive?

A: Our total delivery time is a combination of processing and shipping:

  1. Processing: It takes our team 2-4 business days (Mon-Fri) to process and package your order.

  2. Shipping: We ship via USPS, which has an estimated transit time of 5-7 business days (Mon-Fri). You can typically expect your order within 7-11 business days.

Q: Do you ship to P.O. Boxes and Military addresses?

A: Yes. Because our primary shipping partner is USPS, we are fully equipped to ship to all P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

Q: How much does shipping cost?

A: We offer a flat rate of $7.99 for all orders under $199. For all orders $199 and up, shipping is FREE. There are no hidden handling fees.

3. Ordering & Payment

Q: Is my credit card information secure?

A: Yes. Our site is SSL-encrypted. We use Stripe and PayPal to process payments, which means we never see or store your full credit card number.

Q: How is sales tax calculated?

A: As a compliant US business, we must collect sales tax. The tax rate is calculated automatically at checkout based on your specific shipping address, in accordance with state and local law.

Q: Can I cancel my order?

A: You may request a cancellation within 12 hours of placing your order. Please email contact@booksorbytesllc.com immediately. After 12 hours, your order is likely already in our fulfillment queue and cannot be canceled.

4. Returns & Refunds

Q: What is your return policy?

A: We offer a 30-day return window (from the date of delivery) for eligible items.

Q: How do I make a return?

Q: Where do I send my return?

Q: Do you charge a restocking fee?

A: No. We do not charge any restocking fees. If the return is due to our error (e.g., damaged book), we pay for the return shipping. If you simply changed your mind, you are responsible for the return shipping cost.
