Our 30-Day Return Guarantee
At Books Or Bytes LLC, we stand by our curated collection. We aim to make the return process straightforward and fair. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a return for eligible items within 30 days of the delivery date.
1. Return Authorization & Process
To initiate a return, you must contact us first to receive authorization.

Step 1: Email our team at contact@booksorbytesllc.com. Please include your Order Number and the Reason for Return.

Step 2: Once your return is approved, you will receive instructions on how to proceed.
2. Our Return Address
All authorized returns must be sent back to our physical business address for inspection. We are an in-stock retailer and process all returns in-house at our Irvine facility.

Note: Please do not send items to this address without prior email authorization, as it may delay your refund.
3. Condition of Returned Items
To be eligible for a full refund, all items must be returned in their original, new, and unread condition. Books must be free of any damage, bent pages, or markings.

5. Return Shipping Costs (Who Pays)

A. For Customer Choice (e.g., changed mind, ordered wrong item): If the return is not due to our error, you (the customer) are responsible for all return shipping costs.

B. For Damaged or Defective Products (Our Error): If you receive a damaged book, a defective item, or the wrong book entirely, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will provide a prepaid USPS return shipping label and arrange for a replacement or a full refund.
6. Recommended Return Method
We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service (like USPS with tracking) for your return. We are not liable for returned items that are lost or damaged in transit back to us.
7. Refund Processing Time
Once your return is received and inspected by our team at our Irvine facility, we will notify you via email.

Refund Time: If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 3-5 business days.

Restocking Fee: We believe in fair service. We do NOT charge any restocking fees on authorized returns.
8. Exchange Policy
We do not offer a direct exchange service. The most efficient (fastest “bytes”) method is to return the original item for a full refund and then place a new, separate order for the book you want.
9. Order Changes & Cancellations
You may request to change or cancel your order within 12 hours of placement. Please email contact@booksorbytesllc.com immediately.
After 12 hours, your order is likely already in our fulfillment queue and cannot be canceled.
10. Package & Delivery Issues

Refused / Undeliverable: Packages returned to us by USPS as “Refused” or “Undeliverable” (due to an incorrect address) will be refunded for the product cost, minus the original shipping fee.

Lost or Stolen (Post-Delivery): We are responsible for your package until USPS tracking confirms it as “Delivered.” We are not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen from your property after delivery.
